Four perfectly combined layers guarantee the special wearing comfort that is renowned around the world. The footbed starts with a velvety soft, supple suede leather liner directly underneath the sole of the foot. It absorbs moisture and forwards it to the densely woven jute layer underneath. Then follows the true secret of the footbeds: the cushioning, flexible cork-latex centre (for children: cork-Alpro-Cell or cork-EVA-centre) which optimally takes up and supports each and every step. Finally the footbed features another – coarser – jute layer which stabilises the footbed and last but not least the shock absorbing EVA bottom sole.
The true anatomically moulded footbed is recognizable by seven marks of distinction all of which you can feel with you own two feet:
(1) The deep heel cup gives the foot firm hold and supports connective tissue.
(2) The cross arch support with pelotte keeps the foot in the proper spot and guarantees safe standing.
