The so-called exquisite leather consists of only the best Nappa leather available on the market today. Soft walking, refined look, exclusive in every detail. And because exclusivity demands first rate treatment, all exquisite leather styles are manually covered in a rather time-consuming process.
Birko-Lon is a multi-facetted alternative to the traditional leather liner. Completely vegan, without the use of animal products, it is just as soft and supple as leather yet it is a lot more versatile. Due to the special structure of the material it can be printed with any imaginable design.
Our microfibre footbed liners are just as functional and comfortable as suede leather liners.
Microfibre technology has progressively been developed and improved over the last few years so that today, this material is a durable and extremely easy-care alternative to leather. The fibres are clearly finer than silk, cotton, or wool fibres and thus particularly light, durable, skin-friendly, and breathable.
Especially important: Microfibre liners are not made of animal products. They are made of high-tech, completely vegan materials.
Birko-Felt is a soft fleece which has been developed especially for Birkenstock. It is skin-friendly, breathable and provides a pleasant foot climate. It is mainly used for slipper production. One of the specialties in slipper production is that they have extra room in the toe area so that these styles can also be worn with thicker socks once in a while.
